The Laowa Nanomorph 60mm T2.9 Macro is the first 0.5x macro anamorphic lens for S35 sensors. With a minimum focus distance of only 24 cm (9.5 cm working distance) and 1:2 maximum magnification it allows extreme close-ups that would normally require close-up diopters, while still focusing to infinity, so a single continuous shot can pull focus from 24 cm to infinity. The T2.9 aperture gives a very shallow depth of field, good low-light performance and smooth oval bokeh.
The constant 1.5x anamorphic squeeze across the focus range avoids image stretching when focus changes. This version has the amber flare, rarely found on the market and suited to narrative work and warm moods. With the Laowa 1.4x Full Frame Expander it becomes an 84mm full-frame 0.5x anamorphic macro, losing one stop. The compact, rugged housing has dual metric and imperial scales, gear positions unified with the other Nanomorph S35 lenses and back focus adjustment; it comes with PL/EF mount, with optional mirrorless mounts and a lens support available.
