The Laowa 65mm T2.9 2X Macro APO Cine is the first 2x macro cine lens for Super35 sensors. It focuses from infinity down to 2x magnification, with a 7 cm minimum working distance, capturing striking detail on subjects of different sizes, and suits close-ups, B-roll and mood shots. The apochromatic design keeps chromatic aberration in focused and out-of-focus areas to a minimum, reducing the need for post-production, and the 14-element, 10-group formula with 3 ED elements delivers detail and contrast from centre to edge.
The 9-blade aperture gives soft bokeh. The cine housing is optimised for film and video work, with a 77 mm filter thread, industry-standard 0.8 mod gears on both focus and aperture rings, a clickless aperture ring for silent, smooth iris changes, a 249° long focus throw and both imperial and metric scales.
