Laowa 9mm f/5.6 FF RL Rectilinear Lens for Leica M (Silver) LWA9RLFF56LEMS
The Laowa 9mm f/5.6 FF RL is designed for full-frame cameras and is currently the widest rectilinear lens in the world: its 135° angle of view makes landscape shots easy and allows images that were previously impossible. It is particularly useful for interiors, where it emphasises the sense of space and the relative size of foreground objects. 2 aspherical and 2 extra-low dispersion elements keep chromatic aberration and distortion to a minimum.
Despite this perspective the lens is very compact, about 6 cm long, and weighs only 350 g. Its minimum focus distance of just 12 cm (subject to sensor) allows close-up ultra-wide shots with an almost macro feel. The 5-blade aperture produces 10-point sunstars when stopped down by one stop, and a dedicated filter holder (sold separately) allows 100 mm wide filters without noticeable vignetting.
