The Laowa Argus 28mm f/1.2 FF is a modern take on the classic, versatile 28mm focal length. Its 75.4° angle of view captures slightly more of the surroundings than 35mm and 50mm lenses, useful for street portraits, landscapes, interiors, documentary and astrophotography, while the f/1.2 aperture allows shallow depth of field and easy subject separation, also in low light.

Two ultra-high refraction (UHR) and two extra-low dispersion (ED) elements improve sharpness and contrast across the frame even wide open, and the 13-blade aperture produces smooth bokeh. Designed for video as well, it has internal focusing and a clicked/de-clicked aperture ring switch. At 562 g with a 62 mm filter thread for ND, CPL and other screw-in filters, it is a good travel lens.
