Laowa Venus Optics 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 Zoom Lens for Nikon Z

Laowa 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 FE Zoom Lens for Nikon Z

Designed primarily for travel photography, the Laowa 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 is a very compact ultra-wide zoom for full-frame mirrorless cameras, less than 9.1 cm long and weighing about 496 g. Its angle of view from 130° at 10 mm to 102° at 18 mm makes it easy to compose landscape and architecture images. This version has the Nikon Z mount.

The 5-blade aperture produces a well-defined 10-point sunstar on point light sources, visible already at f/4.5 at 10 mm, and can be switched between click and clickless operation, useful for smooth aperture changes in video. The minimum focusing distance of 15 cm from the sensor allows strong wide-angle close-up perspectives. The optical design has 14 elements in 10 groups, including 2 aspherical and 1 extra-low dispersion element, to minimise distortion and chromatic aberration. Thanks to its compact size it can be used with a 100 mm filter system instead of bulkier 150 mm systems.
