The Laowa 100mm T2.9 2X Macro APO Cine is a cinema macro lens for full-frame cameras with up to 2x magnification and a minimum working distance of 8 cm, while still focusing to infinity. It captures extreme detail of small subjects with a shallow depth of field.

The optical design uses 12 elements in 10 groups, including 2 ED elements, to suppress chromatic aberration in both in-focus and out-of-focus areas and give high detail and contrast from centre to edge, saving time in post-production. Thirteen aperture blades produce a smooth, round bokeh. The cine housing has 0.8 mod gears on both the focus and the clickless aperture ring, and a 77 mm filter thread.
