Laowa 10mm f/2 Zero-D MFT Lens
The Laowa 10mm f/2 Zero-D MFT is a very small ultra-wide lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras. It has a CPU and an aperture motor, so the aperture is controlled from the camera body and all metadata are recorded in the EXIF, while focusing remains manual; turning the focus ring can also trigger magnification for focus assistance. At only 125 g it is ideal for gimbal and handheld video, outdoor shooting, vlogging and aerial filming with drones.
The f/2 maximum aperture helps in low light at low ISO and gives shallow depth of field. As part of the Laowa Zero Distortion series, its design with 2 aspherical and 3 low-dispersion elements reduces distortion virtually to zero from corner to corner. The 5-blade aperture creates 10-point sunstars, and the 12 cm minimum focusing distance allows exaggerated perspectives.
