Laowa Venus Optics 12-24mm f/5.6 Zoom Lens for Leica M

Laowa 12-24mm f/5.6 Zoom Lens for Leica M

With an angle of view from 121.9° to 84°, the Laowa 12-24mm f/5.6 Zoom suits many applications, and is especially useful for landscape and travel photography, in tight interiors as well as wide open spaces. The maximum aperture of f/5.6 is constant across the zoom range, giving better control of depth of field when changing focal length; together with the 15 cm minimum focusing distance it allows shots with shallow depth of field. This version has the Leica M mount.

The lens is relatively light for its class: about 497 g and 84 mm long. With the hood attached, a 77 mm adapter ring takes screw-in filters, more compact and lighter than a filter holder system. The 5-blade aperture creates 10-point sunstars, and the Frog Eye Coating (FEC) repels water and dust.
