The Laowa 14mm f/4 Zero-D DSLR has a different optical design from the mirrorless version, developed specifically for DSLR users, for landscape, architecture, night photography and more. Its 114° angle of view suits landscapes and skylines; 2 aspherical and 2 low-dispersion elements reduce distortion virtually to zero from corner to corner and keep chromatic aberration to a minimum. This version has the Canon EF mount and automatic aperture.
The 14.5 cm minimum focusing distance gives great compositional freedom and allows "mini macro" shots. The distance scale on the focus ring is adjustable, so it can be fine-tuned to the flange distance of your camera for more accurate measurement. The 5-blade aperture creates 10-point sunstars, and the lens takes 67 mm filters. It weighs about 320 g.
