The Laowa 14mm f/4 Zero-D DSLR has a different optical design from the mirrorless version, developed specifically for DSLR users, for landscape, architecture, night photography and more. Its 114° angle of view suits landscapes and skylines; 2 aspherical and 2 low-dispersion elements reduce distortion virtually to zero from corner to corner and keep chromatic aberration to a minimum. This version has the Nikon F mount.
The 14.5 cm minimum focusing distance gives great compositional freedom and allows "mini macro" shots. The distance scale on the focus ring is adjustable, so it can be fine-tuned to the flange distance of your camera for more accurate measurement. The 5-blade aperture creates 10-point sunstars, and the lens takes 67 mm filters. It weighs about 360 g.
