The Laowa Argus 18mm f/0.95 MFT APO is an ultra-bright lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras with a focal length equivalent to 35 mm on full frame, a versatile choice for portraits, landscape, street and everyday photography. The f/0.95 aperture makes low-light and astrophotography easier and creates a shallow depth of field with creamy bokeh that separates the subject from the background.
The apochromatic (APO) optical design suppresses longitudinal and lateral chromatic aberration in both in-focus and out-of-focus areas, keeping purple fringing and ghosting to a minimum across the aperture range and saving post-production time. The lens focuses down to 20 cm, has minimal focus breathing for video and uses internal focusing, which keeps position-sensitive accessories such as polarisers and petal hoods in place. The sturdy metal body accepts 62 mm filters, and for video the aperture ring can be switched from click-stop to continuous operation.
