Laowa Venus Optics 20mm T4.1 Zero-D VV Shift Cine Lens for Arri PL

Laowa 20mm T4.1 Zero-D VV Shift Cine Lens for Arri PL

The Laowa 20mm T4.1 Zero-D Shift Cine is a wide-angle cinema lens covering Vista Vision, with a shift function: up to ±11 mm on full-frame cameras and ±9 mm on Vista Vision. Shifting lets cinematographers correct converging lines and keep architecture and interiors straight; unlike cropping or post-production correction, the full image area and resolution are preserved in camera. Shifting left or right also keeps the camera out of reflections in mirrors or glass.

The Ø65.2 mm image circle fits the largest cinema sensors, such as RED V-Raptor 8K VV (Ø46.31 mm), Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65 (Ø65 mm) and ARRI Alexa 65 (Ø59.86 mm), so it can also serve as a wide prime for large-format cameras. Laowa Zero-D technology keeps distortion minimal even without shift, sharpness is excellent from centre to edge with well-controlled chromatic aberration, and the 25 cm close focus allows near-macro shots with shallow depth of field. It is supplied with a PL mount, convertible with interchangeable EF, RF, E, Z and L mounts.
