Laowa Venus Optics 25mm T1.0 Argus Cine Lens for MFT

Laowa Argus 25mm T1 MFT Cine Lens

The Laowa Argus T1 Cine series includes full-frame, Super35 and MFT lenses with focal lengths from 18 to 45 mm. The very bright T1 aperture produces an extremely shallow depth of field with a smooth transition from in-focus to out-of-focus areas and soft bokeh, and makes it possible to shoot in low light without pushing the ISO. The lenses are designed to keep chromatic aberration low and preserve contrast and sharpness even at T1, with minimal focus breathing and consistent colour rendering across the whole series, which reduces grading work when mixing focal lengths.

The 25mm T1 MFT covers a Ø21.6 mm image circle with a 47° angle of view and focuses down to 0.25 m. The cinema housing has unified gear positions with 0.8 mod gears on both focus and aperture rings, dual metric/imperial focus scales, an 80 mm front diameter for matte boxes and a 77 mm filter thread. Internal focusing keeps the barrel length constant, so gimbals do not need rebalancing, and a threaded point for a lens support relieves the load on the camera mount. It has the Micro Four Thirds mount.
