Laowa Argus 45mm f/0.95 FF Lens for Sony E LWA45A095FFNEX
The Laowa Argus 45mm f/0.95 FF is a full-frame standard lens whose field of view is close to human vision. The f/0.95 maximum aperture gives a very shallow depth of field with soft, creamy bokeh for portraits and helps in low light, while the optical design with 1 aspherical, 1 ED and 3 UHR elements keeps images sharp and contrasty even wide open, with accurate colour and low distortion.
The 15-blade aperture and the optical formula combine modern performance with a slightly vintage rendering. Internal focusing and minimal focus breathing make it suitable for video, and the aperture can be switched from click-stop to continuous for smooth, silent changes during recording. The housing is made of sturdy metal alloy, with deeply knurled focus and aperture rings, a 300° focus throw and a 72 mm filter thread; because the front does not rotate, polarisers and petal hoods keep their position.
