Magewell Ultra Encode SDI Plus

Magewell Ultra Encode SDI Plus is a flexible, universal streaming and recording encoder for SD/HD/3G-SDI sources up to 2048x1080 60fps, with SDI loop-through and up to 16 channels of embedded audio, plus analog audio from a 3.5 mm line in. It encodes H.264 or H.265 in two streams at the same time (main stream up to 4096x2160p30, sub stream up to 1080p60), passes CEA-608/708 captions and RP-188 timecode, and delivers the streams over NDI HX2, NDI HX3, RTMP, RTMPS, SRT, HLS, RTSP, ZIXI and RIST to up to 6 destinations simultaneously.

Recordings in MP4, MOV or TS go to the 128 GB internal storage, a USB drive or a NAS, and can be uploaded automatically to FTP, Google Drive or Dropbox; both streaming and recording can be scheduled. The encoder connects over Gigabit Ethernet with PoE or Wi-Fi and is controlled from a web interface, Magewell Control Hub or HTTP APIs.

The Ultra Encode family of live media encoders is aimed at systems integrators, streaming professionals and OEM partners, for live streaming, AV over IP, remote contribution and IP production. Ultra Encode devices can be paired with Magewell Pro Convert decoders to build end-to-end live media transport over NDI HX or streaming formats, and multiple units across multiple locations can be configured and controlled centrally with Magewell Control Hub (sold separately).

Notes

• Streaming to up to 6 destinations at the same time, including 1 session of RTSP/RIST Listener/SRT Listener/HLS/ISSP or 2 NDI HX2 sessions; NDI HX3 runs as a single exclusive session.
• MP4 and MOV recordings are split at most every 4 hours; TS has no limit.
• USB flash drive, NAS and 4G/5G USB modem are not supplied.
• Magewell offers accessories to mount this model in a 1RU rack; a module version with the same specifications is available for the Magewell Modator chassis.
