PegasusPro R16 is an all-in-one rackmount storage system for medium to large editing teams, combining Thunderbolt 3 direct-attached storage, Ethernet NAS and Thunderbolt NAS. A Thunderbolt 3 port connects directly to the main editing workstation, while multiple 10 Gb/s LAN ports share content with up to twenty NAS users through a 10G Ethernet switch, optimised for up to five concurrent 4K editors, with up to 6,000 MB/s system throughput. With FileBoost, volumes can be converted from DAS to NAS and back with one click.

A second Thunderbolt 3 port aggregates up to six daisy-chained Pegasus3 and/or Pegasus32 units, and capacity can be scaled with up to six 12G SAS JBOD expansion units (Vess J3600sS, up to 112 drives). The PromiseRAID engine protects data, and PROMISE Utility Pro handles user and data administration, plus HybridBoost sync, backup and archive to cloud services such as Amazon S3, Google Cloud, Wasabi and Azure Blob. This configuration is supplied with 64 TB (16 x 4 TB SSD).
