Roland VC-1-HS HDMI to SDI Video Converter
The VC-1-HS converts video and audio from an HDMI input to SDI output, extending the signal and embedding audio, so HDMI cameras can feed SDI-based production equipment such as the inputs of a video mixer. The audio channels used for embedding are selectable.
The VC-1 series converters maintain the characteristics of the original signal, with rich blacks and super-whites, without interlacing artefacts or conversion errors. They support 3G-SDI level A and B as well as HD and SD-SDI, and are HDCP compliant, converting or passing HDCP signals except on SDI outputs. An on-board re-clocker compensates for attenuation of SDI signals over long cable runs, and the VC-1 RCS application for PC/Mac provides remote control.
