Roland VC-1-SC Up/Down/Cross Scan Converter

The VC-1-SC is an up/down/cross scan converter to and from SDI and HDMI, with additional RGB/component and composite inputs. A built-in frame synchroniser and scaler handle up/down/cross, frame rate, interlaced/progressive and aspect ratio conversion, with PC resolutions up to 1920 x 1200, and audio can be embedded or de-embedded.

The VC-1 series converters maintain the characteristics of the original signal, with rich blacks and super-whites, without interlacing artefacts or conversion errors. They support 3G-SDI level A and B as well as HD and SD-SDI, and are HDCP compliant, converting or passing HDCP signals except on SDI outputs. An on-board re-clocker compensates for attenuation of SDI signals over long cable runs, and the VC-1 RCS application for PC/Mac provides remote control.
