The SmallRig 4148 kit switches quickly between horizontal and vertical shooting without changing the optical axis of the lens. The baseplate locks to the camera with a 1/4"-20 screw and an anti-twist pin, keeps the LCD flip screen and ports fully accessible and has pads against scratches and twisting. The mounting plate, compatible with Arca-type and Manfrotto RC2 tripods, rotates by 90° when a knob is unlocked. Its 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes accept handles such as 2093C for handheld stability. The baseplate can also be used alone, with a hinge arm at the battery door for a better grip, a strap slot and a 1/4"-20 hole for a wrist strap. A magnetic double-ended wrench is included.
