The case is made of PU leather with a mock-croc texture and features a built-in front handle and thumb rest for stability and comfort, a red stripe recalling Nikon's classic design and a microfibre lining that protects against scratches. It attaches with a toolless 1/4"-20 thumb screw at the bottom, and a sturdy aluminium frame ensures a precise fit and protects against impacts. All ports and buttons remain accessible, including battery compartment, focus controls and card slot, and a 1/4"-20 threaded hole at the bottom allows tripod mounting without removing the case.
