The SmallRig 5237 side handle provides stability and comfort for handheld shooting. It attaches without tools to any cage or mounting plate with two side 1/4"-20 threaded holes 18 mm apart, using two thumbscrews. A wooden exterior over an aluminium alloy core combines a warm feel with durability and supports up to 15 kg, and the contoured grip reduces strain during long use. By detaching and reversing the aluminium connector the handle can be used on either side of the rig. The hollowed capsule shape keeps weight down, a cold shoe on top takes microphones or lights, a 1/4"-20 locating hole takes magic arms or monitor mounts (SmallRig 4886), and 28 mm of vertical adjustment helps balance the rig.
