The SmallRig 5590 advanced cage kit protects the Sony FX2 and turns it into a compact, expandable rig. The cage fixes the camera securely with a two-point locking mechanism and leaves full access to all buttons and ports, without blocking the tilting EVF. Multiple interfaces take handles, microphones, lights, monitors, straps and other accessories, and the built-in "HawkLock" NATO rail accepts HawkLock accessories such as side handles (4485), top handles (4483) and monitor mounts (4487). The detachable NATO rail top plate is compatible with the Sony XLR top handle or the SmallRig rotating top handle (4152), and the integrated Arca-Swiss quick release plate allows quick switching between handheld, tripod and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro gimbals.
The rotating top handle repositions with one touch, keeping the viewfinder unobstructed during handheld shooting. The foldable V-mount battery plate delivers stable direct power in a lightweight, space-saving design and folds for transport, with a USB-C and MULTI cable clamp that secures the cables. An HDMI cable clamp, mounted with a thumbscrew, keeps the HDMI connection stable (open the HDMI cover before installing it), and a wrist strap is included.
