The SmallRig 5962 L-shaped mount plate allows quick switching between horizontal and vertical shooting and, thanks to an integrated Apple AirTag slot, camera tracking. It attaches with a bottom 1/4"-20 screw and two anti-twist locating pins, and silicone pads protect the camera from scratches. Arca-Swiss quick release plates on the base and side allow fast changes between horizontal and vertical tripod setups, and the base fits Arca-type tripods and DJI RS gimbals.

For vertical shooting, the included cold shoe locating block reinforces the side plate to prevent flex and also accepts microphones, LED lights, wireless transmitters or flashes. The side plate extends up to 22.5 mm for easier cable routing, and a cutout lets the rear screen tilt up to about 95°. All controls, the battery compartment, card slots and ports remain accessible, even with angled cables. 1/4"-20 threaded holes, a QD socket, a cold shoe and strap slots add further mounting options, and a magnetic wrench is stored in the base.
