The SmallRig MD5422 universal mount plate helps photographers track the location of their camera in any shooting situation. A hidden compartment securely holds an Apple AirTag or a Samsung SmartTag2, and irregular fixing screws ensure a secure attachment for effective tracking.

Inside, an EVA foam pad dampens vibrations and minimises noise during movement. The integrated Arca-Swiss quick release plate allows direct mounting on compatible tripods and DJI gimbals without additional adapters, and a DJI gimbal safety pin hole extends compatibility. Enlarged non-slip rubber pads and multi-point locking on the base prevent twisting or shifting, and two 1/4"-20 threaded holes accept magic arms, mini tripods and other accessories. The low-profile plate stays inconspicuous and does not block access to the battery compartment.
