The SmallRig RC 220 Pro is a COB LED video light with a modular body: the power adapter connects to the light via a V-mount quick release mechanism, for quick attachment and easy storage. The adapter integrates a gallium nitride chip, making it 37.5% shorter than the previous generation with 4% higher conversion efficiency.

The light can be powered by the adapter, by V-mount batteries or by NP-F970 batteries with an NP-F adapter. Its customised optics (Three Times Optics) deliver high brightness and uniform light with a colour rendering index of 95+, using 10% less power than the previous generation at the same brightness. The new COB light source keeps colour deviation low (DUV ±0.0015), and in Silent Mode the cooling fan stops.
