SmallRig RC 450D COB LED Video Light 3971
The SmallRig RC 450D (3971) is a powerful COB LED video light using SmallRig's "AstralTech" optical system with a 55° hyper reflector, reaching 172,000 lux at 1 m (5600 K, with reflector). Used with a Fresnel at the same beam angle (tested at 3 m, 5600 K) its output rivals a 1.2K HMI Fresnel. A large, high-power LED chip delivers high efficiency, double-sided six-layer coated front glass transmits more than 97% of visible light, and a COB board of rolled aluminium and composite copper provides high reflectivity and thermal conductivity. CRI 96+ and TLCI 97+ ensure accurate colour rendering.
The GaN (gallium nitride) adapter has a power efficiency of at least 95% with less heat, a locking design and a steel wire cable tether. A damped support system cushions the head and gives smooth tilt adjustment. Quiet fans with intelligent temperature control produce only 32 dB at 1 m, suitable for video recording. Made of metal and V-0 flame-retardant material, the light can be controlled by its switch, the SmallGoGo app or the optional control panel. The Bowens mount accepts most light-shaping accessories, and a carrying bag is included (light and bag weigh 8.5 kg).
