Sonnet Thunderbolt AVB Gigabit Ethernet Adapter AVB-TB

The Avid Pro Tools | Carbon audio interface connects to the Mac over Ethernet using a proprietary version of AVB (Audio Video Bridging, IEEE 802.1), so a Mac without onboard Ethernet needs an AVB-capable Thunderbolt Gigabit Ethernet adapter. The Avid-qualified Sonnet Thunderbolt AVB adapter is a single-adapter solution for connecting a Mac with Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3 ports to Carbon.

It also lets the Mac act as an endpoint in an AVB network, connecting to audio interfaces, mixers, plug-in processors, personal monitor stations, stage boxes, speakers and speaker processors, where synchronised data streams are essential. Drivers are built into macOS: basic settings are made in the Network control panel and AVB configuration in Audio MIDI Setup. The adapter is pocket-sized and bus-powered, and works with Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
