The Sunbounce SUN-SCRIM 244 x 244 cm (8' x 8') butterfly frame is a lightweight, stable, collapsible anodised aluminium frame that can be combined with different reflecting, diffusing or light-absorbing screens: white, black, various degrees of translucency, blue or green chroma key, or Le Louche, a dappled translucent material similar to a cucoloris. It keeps the screen taut for consistent light modification. A shoulder bag is included; the screen is not.
SUN-SCRIMs are closed, square, two-dimensional frames for larger, mainly static subjects or installations, which can be fitted with diffusing or reflecting screens. Long used in the film industry, they have been adapted by Sunbounce to be mobile and suitable for most applications; the sizes are given in feet, as in the film industry.
