The Supermicro SuperChassis 847BA-R1K23LPB is a 4U server chassis supporting motherboards up to 13.68" x 13", E-ATX and ATX, with thirty-six 3.5" hot-swap drive bays. The drives connect to a 12-port and a 24-port SAS 6 Gb/s direct-attached backplane supporting SAS2/SATA3 HDDs and SSDs. Power comes from a 1200/1000 W Titanium supply with PMBus, and seven 8 cm hot-swap redundant PWM fans provide cooling, with seven low-profile expansion slots.
