The Supermicro AOM-TPM-9655V is a hardware security device installed on the motherboard that holds computer-generated encryption keys. Keys, passwords and digital certificates stored in it are better protected against external software attacks and physical theft, as all cryptographic functions are performed on the chip. It adds a further layer of security to Supermicro servers.
