The Tether Tools TetherGuard Extension Lock, formerly JerkStopper Extension Lock, is a locking device that protects connected cable ends from disconnects, damage and electrical hazards. Its clam-shell design closes around each end of the cable or cord, then a twist locks them securely together. It stops unwanted disconnects of USB extension cables and HDMI cables with couplers, and protects power cords for lighting and tools.
Two rubber washers included with each lock further protect the cable ends and relieve strain when pulled, so the cable stays connected. On outdoor tethered shoots the hard plastic casing protects the connection from dust, dirt and physical damage.
